to teach our kids how to encounter God through wholehearted worship
to equip them to know Christ and to walk in relationship with Him while walking in the gifts God has given them
- to teach them to give it away to others by supporting the family as the main influence in their children’s lives
We believe in the family as a whole unit and are here to help and support them as they learn and grow in their relationship with God and each other.
We value Scripture as our authority and believe what is says about children. The Bible tells us “Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a reward from him.”-Psalms 127:3 And “Jesus said Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children.”-Matthew 19:1
We also believe that kids are world changers, and we encourage our community to lead our children as ones who are advancing the Kingdom of God here on earth. We believe in, and desire, a multi-ethnic, multi-generational community and invite our kids and families to participate in local outreaches and mission trips. “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.”-1 Timothy4:12.
What to Expect
We start check-in on Sunday at 4:45pm at our Kids Welcome Table. When you check in you will receive a security sticker for your family with a code on it and each child will have a matching sticker with their name and your family security code placed on them. Please keep this on you at all times! After service is over, you must show your security sticker to one of the volunteers in the room as proof that we can release that child(ren) to you.
Here at Antioch Ann Arbor we have 4 children's rooms.
- Nursery (infants to 18 months)
- Toddler (19 months to 3.9 years)
- Preschool/Early Grade School (4 years to 2nd Grade)
- Older Kids (3rd to 6th Graders)
Kids 3rd grade and up will be in service for the beginning part of worship and will be dismissed before the message.
Each Sunday, your child will learn about who God is and who they are as children of the King through the Bible. We have fun times of free play, worship, lessons, and then more fun and games. Our Bible lesson is fun and provides a time for kids to listen, respond, ask questions, and to pray and receive prayer
Each week an age appropriate snack will be provided for your children. We ask that you please leave any personal snacks at home but encourage you to bring a bottle/sippy cup for your child.
Your children’s safety is a top priority to us. Each of our children’s volunteers have been thoroughly screened. They are committed to Jesus and serving you and your kids. All of our volunteers go through careful training and background checks done by PROTECTMYMINISTRY.COM to ensure that your kids are safe and well cared for.
We look forward to meeting you and your family! Any questions or concerns please contact our children’s ministry at firstname.lastname@example.org
